Here at Racinglines HQ our preparations are well underway for our presence at the Autosport International 2018, which is held at the Birmingham NEC, UK. Between the 11th and the 14th of January be sure to come and find us at Stand 19020 in Hall 19. We will be showcasing the full complement of Racinglines products on static display, along with 3 very special vehicles on our stand.
This week we are working with our Women in Motorsport Brand Ambassador Kirsty “Kerbs” Widdrington and her partner David Lamb of DLR Motorsport to kit out Syril The Silvia with the latest products from Racinglines. David has been busy dismantling the current fuel, oil, coolant and brake systems ready for us to put a Racinglines Slant on the vehicle.
Syril is receiving the full VIP treatment here at Racinglines HQ, working with our Technical Manager Tim Ross to install the latest in fluid transfer technology. We are working around the clock with David from DLR Motorsport to complete the installation of Syril’s new hoses and fittings, along with the brand new Racinglines Integrated Swirl Pot System.
Racinglines have been working with Kristy and Syril for the 2017 British Drift Championship Pro-Am competition, Kirsty herself has been competing for the past 9 years since 2008 in the different levels of Drifting throughout the UK and Ireland. But 2017 saw her take on the Kings of Europe and the Queens of Europe in one round in Germany.
For 2018 Kirsty and Syril plan to continue strutting their stuff across the UK, Ireland and Europe, competing in the British Drift Championship, the Irish Drift Championship and Kings and Queens of Europe. Not only in competitive drifting has Kirsty made an impact, she has become a fans favourite at many of the demonstration events throughout the year at Japfest and Trax etc.
“The coverage we received through supporting Kirsty throughout the 2017 season was perfect, she really is a fans favourite and with the continuation of drifting growing throughout Europe and the UK, which saw over 11 Million Live Stream views in 2017, we could not wait to support Kirsty with her new adventure in 2018” said Tim Ross, Technical Manager at Racinglines.
Syril is a 1989 Nissan PS13 Silvia, producing over 420bhp from his Fully Forged 2.0L SR20DET Engine. Finished in striking metallic purple with blue and white detailing, Syril has always caught the crowds attentions. And with the upgrades coming to the fluid transfer systems Syril will continue to eat his tires and impress the masses across Europe.
Of course this is only one of the vehicles on display at the Racinglines Stand in January, but we will be releasing details of the other very shortly, so please keep your eyes peeled for the next couple of announcements. Over the coming weeks we will also be posting about the products we have used on Syril to get him ready for 2018.
